UI neutrality
User interfaces on our products usually differ across product ranges and products, even though they share the same functionality and benefits.

To avoid having to create a separate asset for each product variant, we take a UI-neutral approach - we create an asset that can be applicable to any product from the entire range.
For products that can be controlled through a touchscreen, we might want to avoid showing the actual user interface due to design differences between various variants of the product or languages.
In such cases, we shot from a camera angle that does not reveal the actual UI, e.g. from side.
Alternatively, we may take an app-neutral approach for appliance UIs. Read the next chapter to learn more.
